What is the escrow balance and how can I check the detail of my escrow balance?
- Updated on 20 Jun 2023
The escrow balance is the total amount that as a business you have collected but that is not yet available to withdraw, that is, it's a "blocked" balance until you receive the approval from the shopper on the product or service that you have charged. In order to guarantee customer satisfaction.
This balance will remain in guarantee until:
- Orders requiring shipping have been delivered and are updated to "Awaiting shopper approval" status. From there, the buyer will have a period of 24 hours to indicate whether they approve the release of the purchase amount or if they want to file a dispute because they are not satisfied with what they paid.
- Digital or service-type product orders have a shopper notification wait time of 6 hours and are updated to the status "Awaiting shopper approval". From there, the shopper will have a period of 24 hours to indicate whether they approve the release of the purchase amount or if they want to file a dispute because they are not satisfied with what they paid.
